Hello! I'm Eleanor Lopez, content creator, digital marketer, and founder of ElleContent, a freelance marketing service based in Portlaoise. I work with small business owners, creatives, and community-driven entrepreneurs to craft content, stories and digital strategies. 

Why I Started ElleContent

After years of working in publishing, marketing, and hospitality — from Penang to Portlaoise — I recognised a need for content support that's both strategic and sustainable. Something that doesn't chase trends but helps you show up online with clarity and purpose.

My Background 

My career in content creation started with editorial and publishing roles in Malaysia, writing lifestyle features, managing magazine production, and eventually leading content for high-end titles like Expatriate Lifestyle, Time Out, Golf Vacations, and iNPenang. 

I then moved onto marketing and communications, taking on the role of Marketing Manager at a major eco-tourism site and then, as Communications Manager for a web studio supporting start-ups and SMEs.

Along the way, I've:

• Written for print, web, and social platforms
• Created campaigns for events, tourism, and e-commerce
• Collaborated with local vendors, media, and international broadcasters

Now based in Ireland, I bring with me a background in the hospitality, tourism and publishing industries, along with a growing depth of experience in business and marketing. I'm currently completing a Bachelor of Business Studies (Hons) at SETU Carlow, where I'm building on that foundation and gaining a deeper understanding of how small businesses grow and succeed..
